February 2015 Boxycharm

I FINALLY received my boxycharm today.  It seems to be arriving later and later every month.

This definitely was not my favorite box I have ever received.  I’m not complaining.  There are some great products in here.  But most of them I don’t see myself using.  Hey…my friends will be extremely happy with their free products.  🙂

Boxycharm is $21 a month and provides 5 full size/deluxe size beauty products.  I’ve received makeup, skin care, nail care, haircare, fragrances and more.

Mullein & Sparrow Mini Facial Mask: Deluxe sample size retails for $15.

“This facial mask contains a blend of powerful, detoxifying clays mixed with soothing, aromatic herbs that help to refine pores and provide a gentle exfoliation.”

This is in the form of a powder that you mix with a small amount of water and apply to your face.  And then you wait.  Read a good book, listen to some music, catch up on some television shows, and then rinse the mask off with warm water.  This is not something I’m into (although the packaging is super cute!)  This has a friends name written all over it so that is where this is going.

Jing Ai Velvet Shine Lip Jewel: Full Size Retails for $22

I am a little picky with my lip products and don’t usually opt for lip crayons.  I gave this to a friend of mine and she said it is very moisturizing and pigmented.  I received the color Pink A Boo which is a very soft light pink.

Modern Minerals Duo Fiber Mini Round Brush: Full Size Retails for $15

I love love love receiving makeup tools (especially brushes) in my subscription boxes.  This looks like the perfect brush for definition work.  The bristles are pretty soft, but still sturdy.  I also love that the brush has “U R GORGEOUS” printed on it!

ncLA nail polish in Heart Attack: Retails for $16

This would have been perfect for Valentine’s Day.  It is such a cute polish and I love that the hearts are both pink and red. You can use this alone or as a top coat.  I think this would also be really cute on an accent nail.

Mistura Beauty Solutions C-2-P Complexion Corrector-Full Size Retails for $36.00 CAD (approx. $30 US)

As you can see, this product came broken.  I know quite a few others have experienced the same thing.  I can still use it, but I am disappointed that it came like this.  I did contact customer service and will update when I get a response.

Anyways….this is a cream to powder complexion corrector that contains coconut oil and shea butter.  I did find it concealed fairly well and was hydrating without being greasy or oily.

Update: Customer service responded back within 48 hours.  They have apologized for the damaged product and have issued points that can be used to redeem for a product on their website. While I was waiting for a response, I took the broken product and put it into a makeup pot (which they later recommended I do) and have been applying with a small brush.

The value of this box is just under $100.  Even though this wasn’t my favorite box I still think it was worth well over $21.
