March 2015 Boxycharm

Happy Monday everyone!!  Are you ready for a new week?

My March Boxycharm came in!!! YAY!!! It seems to be coming later and later every month, but everything came in one piece and in perfect condition so I’m not complaining.

This months theme is “Lucky Charm” which is so cute.  I love that it’s a play on Boxycharm and also a nod to St. Patricks Day.

I will say this.  This was not my favorite box (and last month was a let down for me also).  There wasn’t anything wrong with the products they choose, but they just aren’t products that excite me.  It’s just personal preference.  I’m sure there were plenty of subscribers who loved everything they received.  Here is what was in the box this month.

1) Previse Nutrify Skin Type 1-6 Universal Tonic (full size): $48

Oil free tonic infused with antioxidant rich daisy flower extract and hyaluronic acid to help lighten and brighten skin.  Free of parabens, silicones, and skin clogging petroleum ingredients.  Hydrates skin and speeds healing while fighting free radicals and surface irritants.”

I think this is an interesting product.  I’ve never seen anything like it before and am curious to see what it does for me.  The site breaks down the different skin types so you can see what you would fall under.  This is step 2 which is the nutrifying step.  Step 1 is purifying cleansers and step 3 is using previse defend.

2) LVX Nail Lacquer (full size): $16

LVX launches the hottest collections each season by translating the top runway colors based on emerging trends in high fashion.  5 free formula, gel like finish, cruelty free, vegan and made in the USA.

I love the color I received.  “Mynt” is perfect for spring and I don’t have anything else like it in my collection.

3) Oscar Blandi Hair Products (travel size) $11

Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray, 6.3 oz.

I know there were a few different Oscar Blandi products featured this month.  I received the hairspray for volume, hold and shine.  I love travel size hairsprays.  I don’t use hairspray that often and can never finish a full size can so travel size works well for me.

This takes the humectant and anti-static powers of sugar (with none of the stickiness), adds antioxidants, and honey’s shine-boosting and conditioning properties.  Result: the most manageable hair imaginable, with soft, touchable all-day hold and a lovely hint of honeysuckle fragrance.

4) OFRA Eyeliner (full size): $13

Water resistant pencil suitable for the most sensitive eye and lip areas.  Created with a synthetic beeswax base for a smooth, soft and long lasting application.

I received another OFRA eyeliner (in purple) in August’s Boxycharm.  I didn’t find it to be the smoothest or most pigmented eyeliner, but it did stay fairly well throughout the day.  I’m glad I received this in black (even though I would get more use our of a dark brown) because I can use that more than a fun colored eyeliner.  This is not an automatic pencil and does need to be sharpened.

And lastly…..

5) tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint (full size): $24

I love love love tarte products.  They are one of the few brands that my skin agrees with.  I have never been let down by any of their products.  Unfortunately for me, I just don’t like lip products in this form.  Plus, I received a very similar product in a very similar shade in last months Boxycharm.  This will be going to a very dear friend of mine whose birthday is coming up soon.  She will love it!

As I said before, this wasn’t my favorite box.  The products were great, just not my cup of tea.  But I still love Boxycharm and it remains one of my favorite subscription boxes.  This month’s box was worth $112 which is amazing!

Have a beautiful day!

xoxo Lizzie
