Review: Ecotools Complexion Collection Mattifying Finish Brush

Good morning everyone!
Today I will quickly be reviewing ecotools mattifying finish brush.

This retails for $8.99 on

Control shine and oily skin all day with the Mattifying Finish Brush. A unique duo-fiber design creates a flawless finish with either pressed or loose powder by blending long, straight bristles and short, wavy bristles. The short bristles pick up the perfect amount of product, while the long bristles disperse product evenly and smoothly for complete control and buildable coverage. Use the brush on its own for a fresh, matte look or use it to finish a full makeup look that stays shine-free all day.

My Opinion/Thoughts:

To be honest, this is not my favorite complexion brush.  I really love my power brushes to be dense and tightly packed.  Since I mostly focus powder on my forehead and nose (t-zone area) I find that using a tightly packed brush works great when patting the product in rather than swiping it on (if that makes any sense).  🙂

When using this brush, I preferred using it on the side to pat product on.  I will definitely continue using this brush, but it is not my go to nor is it my favorite out of the brushes I already own.

Have you given this brush a try?  Let me know your thoughts below.

Hope you have a beautiful day!

xoxo Lizzie

I’ve not tried this brush before💗 I use the bare minerals powder brush for for finishing off my makeup💗

    1. I’ve never tried any bare minerals brushes before. How do you like it?

  2. I have this brush as well and agree it isn’t one of my favorite because like you I like my brushes to be dense for packing on powder on my forehead and t-zone area! Great post!

    1. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
