Review: Vita Sciences Maxasorb Melatonin Cream

I recently had the opportunity to test out another skin care product.

I have always been a very light sleeper. I find it extremely difficult to fall asleep at night. I tend to stay up until one, two or even three in the morning. No, it’s not because I’m a party animal. I simply cannot get my mind to shut down and can’t get my body to unwind. I’ve tried listening to soft music, taking a warm bath, tea, sleeping pills and many other things with few of them actually working.

I also wake up many times throughout the night. Once I wake up, it is almost impossible for me to fully fall back asleep.

When I heard about this melatonin cream I was immediately intrigued. It claims to help promote healthy sleep patterns. That is exactly what I am lacking!!!

Melatonin is a hormone made in the brain. It helps control your wake and sleep cycles. Melatonin supplements are used to treat those who suffer from lack of sleep and/or jet lag. ‘

This product is said to help decrease the time it takes to fall asleep. It may help increase sleepiness and increase sleep duration.

The instructions say to rub a full pump into the skin just before going to bed. You can apply this either on your arms or legs. I love that this was odorless as I am very sensitive to fragrances.

I was pleased at how rapidly this absorbed into my skin. It was very gentle on my skin and did not cause any allergic reaction or irritation.

This didn’t knock me out right away. I wasn’t expecting it to work immediately. I did notice feeling very calm and relaxed shortly after applying. I honestly didn’t even notice myself falling asleep!

I maybe woke up twice during the night, but that is far less than I normally do. I woke up feeling very well rested and alert.

This product has definitely impressed me. I’m even thinking of purchasing one for my grandmother who has had a lot of difficulty sleeping as well. I think she will love it!

Have a beautiful and wonderful day!
