There is nothing more exciting than seeing this bright, shiny, pink bag inside my mail box! It makes my heart jump a little and instantly brightens up my day!
Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription that is $10. It contains makeup, skin care, hair products and other beauty related items. You take a beauty quiz first and they pick out 5 products for you each month.
The theme this month was “Swim into Beauty.”
This is heat activated and is packed with amino acids. It…
- smooths hair
- eradicates frizz
- seals hair cuticles
- reduces blow-dry time
This sounds fantastic! I don’t blow dry/style my hair too often in the summer, but I love using products like this when I actually do.
It sounds like it’s very similar to the Bumble & Bumble all-style blow dry cream which is $30 for the full size.
This gentle exfoliating mask helps loosen and extract blackheads without painful extraction tools while absorbing oil and tightening pores. Dr. Brandt’s exclusive formula combines Salicylic and Glycolic Acid to assist in the release of blackheads while Eijitsu Rose helps tighten pores.
Sounds disgusting, but I’m kind of excited to give it a try. I don’t suffer from blackheads too often, but I’ll keep this around for when they decide to show up.
Highly pigmented, hydrating, semi-matte lip stain. Creamy and lightweight stain that is wilky, smooth and packed with Vitamin E and plant extracts.
Those who received this product either received “Blow Your Mind” or “Hikilicious.” I received Blow Your Mind(s115) and I kind of wish I received the other one. The color is a little too bright and pink for my taste. I can definitely make it work by pairing it with another shade.
tre-StiQue Mini Shadow Crayon Sample- Full Size=$26 (not yet available online…)
This is said to be a 12 hour eye shadow that is very blendable, crease free and smooth. You can apply it lightly for a wash of color or really build it up. I received the shade “Venetian Gold” which is a soft metallic gold.
Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Foundation Primer Sample- Full Size=$36
This is described as silky and lightweight and contains a blend of vitamins A & E, grape seed extract and green tea. It is an oil-free primer that helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores for flawless skin with a velvety-smooth finish. It is also light diffusing to blur our imperfections.
I’ve tried this primer before and I didn’t care for it. My makeup just didn’t blend well with it. I’ve used it on the areas of my face with fine lines and it did work much better that way. I just use it on my smile lines and small wrinkles around my eyes and it does a great job of filling those in.
I will use this sample because it’s great for traveling and since I use it so sparingly, it will last a very long time.
I’d love to know or see what you guys received this month! Send me a picture or let me know on my social media accounts!
I’m off to spend some much needed “me time” at the mall!
Have a beautiful and wonderful Friday!
