Today I will be doing another quick review.
I received this soothing eye lotion in my April Birchbox. I will leave a link here if you’d like to see that unboxing.
Wake up and revitalise eyes with cotton wool pads soaked in this gentle, soothing herbal lotion.
Non-oily, it is ideal for irritated eyes and suitable for contact lens wearers.
Apply to a cotton wool pad to clean and wake up your eyes first thing.
Naturally active ingredients include eyebright, witch hazel, aloe vera and cornflower to help tone, cool and refresh tired, puffy eyes.
Suitable for all skin types
For being called a lotion this is very liquid-y. It has the consistency of water.
The directions say to apply to a cotton pad and sweep over eyelids and lashes. I was worried I would have to use a lot of product, but I used two pads (one for each eye) and it really didn’t take up a lot of product at all.
This does have a scent. I’m horrible at describing scents so….I’m not sure what this is. It isn’t anything floral or fruity. Maybe more medicinal?
This may have been the cause of an allergic reaction. About 30 minutes after using this product I noticed a bump on the left side of my left eye. It became pretty itchy. I didn’t use any other new products so I’m assuming this product caused it.
I found this product under-whelming. I was really excited to try it. I have pretty bad allergies and wake up every morning with puffy eyes (it’s lovely). I used this first thing in the morning and didn’t notice anything. It really didn’t feel all that refreshing and did absolutely nothing my the puffiness. I did leave the bottle in my fridge was a little bit so the product could cool. This felt slightly better and helped reduce the puffiness slightly. But for what it is, I’m not interested in paying $25.
If you’ve tried this product out, let me know your thoughts!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!
Have a beautiful day! 🙂
