Review: Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow

Good morning everyone!

Today’s reviews is on another product I received in my June Birchbox.  Again, I will leave the link to that post in case you missed it. June Birchbox

Price:

$27 for 1.6 oz

Description:

This multitasking BB cream gets us much closer to our goal——and with minimal effort. It hydrates and calms skin, evens tone, controls shine, lightly masks imperfections, and, thanks to tiny flecks of light-reflecting pigments, infuses skin with a fresh-from the-yoga-studio radiance. This hypoallergenic, gluten-free, perfume-free, and oil-free formula is perfect for those with sensitive skin.

8 in 1 Multi-Benefits
This Beauty Balm with self-adjusting pigments, powerful antioxydants, aloe and chamomile does it all for your skin:

  1. Provides a healthy glow effect with just the right hint of illumination
  2. Evens out skin tone
  3. Offers immediate and long-term hydrating benefits
  4. Protects from premature aging and environmental stresses
  5. Promotes skin regeneration
  6. Soothes and calms
  7. Reduces the appearance of imperfections
  8. Controls shine

My Skin Type:

I have combination skin.

Texture:

This is a little thinner for a cream.  It reminds me a little more of a lotion.

 Application:

This blended in very easily into my skin.  I choose to use my fingers since this ran a little thinner.  I also wanted to get as much coverage as I could and that definitely helped.

The shade was a little dark for me.  It wasn’t terrible and wasn’t anything a little bronzer couldn’t fix.  I know it will be perfect once I get my summer tan on.

In the meantime, I will continue using it with the help of bronzer or mix it into my foundation.

I love that you can wear this on its own or under makeup.

Now, I don’t want to say this has a ton of coverage.  It really doesn’t.  The bronze color helps to reduce the appearance of uneveness and of course makes the skin look glow-y.

It definitely controlled shine and oil.  I was surprised that I wasn’t more oily by the end of the day.

Overall Thoughts:

I wasn’t too familiar with this brand before Birchbox.  I absolutely love that this product is not only for all skin types, but if free of perfume, parabens, oil and is also hypo-allergenic!

My skin had absolutely no allergic reaction to it!!  🙂

I really love it and wouldn’t mind purchasing the full size!

It’s definitely the best bronzed BB cream I’ve tried yet!

Just so you know, Marcelle also makes a regular BB cream as well as a matte BB cream.  This is great if this shade is too dark for you.  You may find a great match in the regular BB cream line.

Have a beautiful and wonderful day!

xoxo Lizzie♥

      1. I did a review on it a while ago over at my blog. They come in light/med and medium/dark but because it has a skin color matching technology the light/med matches me perfectly! Its dark when you pump it out but then lightens to my shade.

That is so interesting I had no idea they made a matte cream! I would be so into trying it considering I have really oily skin especially in the summer months.
