I haven’t had the best experience with Supergoop products in the past. Nothing has stood out to me and definitely didn’t work out for me.
So when I received another Supergoop sample in my Birchbox I was less than thrilled.
Even though I wanted to write it off as another bad product, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and try it.
$42 for 1.6 oz of product.
This light yet powerful serum fulfills that everyday need. Both a moisturizer and a broad-spectrum SPF 30, it fights the signs of premature aging (think: fine lines and sunspots) and prevents future photo-damage from UV rays. Supergoop!®’s unique Hydrovotin 24 complex works with the skin’s own moisture mechanisms to increase hydration levels, while vitamins E and B5 heal past damage. A chemical sunscreen duo absorbs both UVA rays that lead to premature aging and UVB rays that cause sunburn. The top-of-the-line PA +++ rating means the formula meets the highest standards for sun protection. The kicker? This sunscreen serum is noncomedogenic and paraben- and fragrance-free—just what the doctor ordered for sensitive skin.
This has the consistency of a thin moisturizer/lotion (thick and not runny), but is definitely lightweight.
This was a dream to work with! It applied so easily and was also really easy to work into my skin. I’ve found other Supergoop sunscreen products to be difficult to blend. This felt like an amazing moisturizing serum.
I applied my regular moisturizer first and then applied this Supergoop serum over it. It is somewhat hydrating, but won’t be enough if you have dry skin. Even though I have combination skin, I still prefer using a moisturizer first.
I am glad I decided to give this product a try because I really liked it.
It didn’t leave a white cast like past Supergoop products did and actually felt amazing on my skin.
I also love that this is noncomedogenic and paraben and fragrance free. My sensitive skin really appreciates that!
It worked really well under makeup and didn’t feel heavy.
The only negative about this product is the price. I would prefer sticking to my normal sunscreen which still works great under my makeup and doesn’t leave a white cast. I just can’t justify paying $42 for a product that works the same as my $10 sunscreen.
Have a beautiful and wonderful day (and remember to apply your sunscreen!!!)
