Today’s review is on another product I received in my August Ipsy bag.
I’m not too familiar with Jesse’s Girl products. Of course, I’ve heard of them and know that Julie G. is affiliated with them.
I’ve also seen their products at my local Rite-Aid. But I have never tried anything out before.
When I saw I received their eye shadow primer in my Ipsy bag I was pretty excited to try it out and see what this brand is all about.
Your eyes, like an artist’s canvas, require a primer for best results from your vibrant color palette. Jesse’s Girl Eye Shadow Primer provides a silky, crease proof base for smoother application and long lasting color.
I was a little surprised by the consistency of this product. It was much thinner and more watery than I was expecting.
Most primers I use are thicker and more opaque. I actually really love opaque primers because they not only primer, but help conceal any veins or discoloration on the eyelid.
This primer is much too thin to conceal.
Because it is more watery and wet, I suggest waiting a few minutes before applying any shadow.
My final thoughts?
I don’t hate it, but don’t love it either.
It didn’t help keep my shadow from creasing and I didn’t notice my shadow looking any more vibrant when used in conjunction with the primer.
I still really love my elf eye shadow primer and think I will be sticking to that.
Have any of you tried this before? How did you like it?
Have a beautiful and wonderful day!!!
