Elf Matte Lip Color

Last up in my Elf lip product reviews in the Elf Matte Lip Color Pencils!

I’ve never been a huge fan of lip products in pencil or stick form. But I’ve found that I don’t mind them as much when they are a thinner shape.

Anyways…on to the review!

Available in 12 shades

I picked up Wine and Berry Sorbet

(top to bottom: Wine, Berry Sorbet)

”This convenient jumbo sized lip pencil creates exact color application with twist up ease so you never have to sharpen-but we included a sharpener at the base just in case! The pigment rich color glides on effortlessly and easily to provide long lasting matte color. The enriched Vitamin A, C & E formula moisturizes and hydrates lips for beautiful healthy looking lips.”

Right away, I love the thinner pencil shape! It’s much easier to apply with precision and I love being able to line and fill in my lips with one product.

I’m also thankful Elf included a build in sharpener to create a more pointed tip when needed.

These are housed in a twist up applicator so they’re very easy to work with.

I also love that you can see the color at the base of the lip crayon so there’s no guessing!

The color payoff is amazing! They are so opaque and are even still buildable!

Here’s my favorite thing about them.

Even though they are a matte formula, they aren’t drying in the slightest! They go on very easily without tugging and don’t cling to every dry spot on my lips. But, throughout the day, they stay comfortable. It’s rare to find a matte finish that can do that!

The staying power isn’t as wonderful as other matte products (maybe because it is more hydrating), but they do leave a beautiful stain behind. I am usually about to get around 4-5 hours of wear out of them.

They are very easy to re-apply and I don’t worry about the color bleeding like I do with other matte products.

I am in love with this product!

They are so affordable and are excellent quality too! I will definitely be purchasing more shades later on down the line!!!

Have a beautiful and wonderful day everyone!

xoxo Lizzie♥
