My first Rocksbox

A friend of mine has been subscribed to Rocksbox for awhile and has been encouraging me to give it a try.

I love jewelry, but I can be extremely picky about my pieces.  It took my husband years to learn my specific taste and even now he can be unsure of what I will truly love!!!  🙂

I finally gave in and decided to try Rocksbox out for myself.

For only $19 a month you will receive three pieces that are handpicked for you by one of the Rocksbox stylists.  You receive the pieces (on loan) and keep them until you are ready to exchange them for three new pieces.

I went on their website and took a quick survey to show what my preferences are in jewelry (ie: silver, gold or both….simple or trendy…etc)

I also was able to scroll their the jewelry they carry and mark the ones I really loved.  This adds those pieces to your wishlist and helps your stylist choose pieces for you.

My box shipped out within two days of my signing up!

My stylist was Eleanor and she built a set around a necklace I had added to my wishlist.

Here are the pieces I received:

Kendra Scott Tessa Stud Earrings in Iridescent Drusy: Insiders’ Price $65   $52

I really love these earrings.  They are simple yet have that subtle hint of glam.  I love the sparkle!

I tend to wear studs during the day so these are perfect for every day wear!

Perry Street Ella Necklace:  Insiders’ Price $65    $52

As I said before, I had added this necklace to my wishlist.  It is a little different than what I would normally go for, but I wanted to try something out of my “usual picks.”

I love the design of the hanging charms.

I’m not too thrilled with the chunky chain (I usually like a thinner and more delicate one).

It also feels a bit like costume jewelry and not like something I would ever pay $65 for.  But it does pair beautifully with the earrings and looked cute with a few different tops I wore.

Goriana Gisele Ring:  Insiders’ Price $45  $36

I am probably the most picky when it comes to rings.  I like something that is dainty and feminine, yet still makes a subtle statement.  This ring is definitely on the simple side.

The design has a hint of modern flair but is not in your face at all!

Again, not something I would normally choose for myself, but it’s growing on me!

It ends don’t poke at my skin either which I appreciate!! 🙂

Once you’re done with the pieces you received and are ready for three new ones, you just send them back in the enclosed mailer and wait for your new shipment!  You get free prepaid shipping both ways which is fantastic!

The great thing is you receive a $10 credit every month that can be used toward the discounted purchase of a piece.

So what are my thoughts?

I really like the concept of borrowing jewelry and then returning them for something new.

Most of the pieces they carry are pricey and/or designer and are things I normally wouldn’t spend money on.

So this is a great way to try them out and also step outside of my comfort zone knowing I don’t have to spend a lot of money on something I may not love.

I’m not sure if I will continue with the subscription every single month, but I will continue to show you guys what I receive when I do get them!

What do you think?  Have you tried this subscription out?

Let me know your thoughts!

If you’re interested in trying this out for yourself, I will leave a referral link below that will give you access to one free month of Rocksbox!

Nice pieces!! Does the $10 monthly credit keep adding up or are you limited to just $10 to spend toward your purchase that month?

    1. The unfortunate thing is the $10 is a once a month credit that expires at the end of that month. 😕 that was something I was a little disappointed about!
