Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil

Today’s review is brought to you by……..

…..a product I received in last month’s Birchbox!  🙂

I have been dying to try an Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pencil!

Her most well known brow products are the “Dipbrow Pomade” and the infamous “Brow Wiz” and I didn’t even know she made another brow pencil until I received it in my Birchbox.

 Price:

$23

Details:

With its larger nib and softer consistency, this pencil is ideal for creating straight, long strokes. The vitamin E-infused formula glides on without skipping and dries to a powder finish.

Mine is in the shade “medium brown”.

This is available in 8 different shades.

I use some type of brow product on a daily basis.  My brows are a bit on the sparse side and I really like defining them and creating more shape than I naturally have.

So because I use brow products so frequently, I like to find products that won’t run out on me super fast.

I’ve had pencils in the past that seem to only last a month or so before they turn into teeny tiny nubs.

I like that this pencil is creamy but not overly so.  It goes on smoothly but doesn’t require sharpening constantly.

I also like products that serve a dual purpose: they not only apply color but also provide a bit of hold as well.

This gives great pigmentation without depositing too much color.

It’s very easy to control and I never felt that that I had to be overly cautious when applying as to not over-apply the product.

This dried down to a powder finish which was nice and it held up pretty well throughout the day.

A full size pencil comes with a spooley brush on the opposite end which would be nice and convenient to have!

Another thing I look for is a product that doesn’t apply too much pigment.  Anyone else experience super bold brows because your brow product went a little overboard???

I’ve had that happen a few times and it’s pretty embarrassing!

I really enjoy using this pencil.  The shade medium brown is just slightly dark for my liking.  I prefer going a little lighter than my hair color (which is medium brown).  If I choose to purchase a full size in the future I will definitely go one shade lighter.

Have you guys tried this pencil out?  What are your thoughts?

I’d love to hear what brow products you love using!  I’m always interesting in trying something different!!

Wishing you a beautiful and wonderful day!

xoxo Lizzie♥

  1. I always love good quality eye brow pencil and moreover, Anastasia Beverley Hills are the forerunners in the making of brow products and I’m pretty sure you will get the best out of this product.

ABH is the only brand I really use for my brows. I love the pencil for quick touch ups and I love Dip Brow for a more dramatic look. With Dip Brow you get so much product. I wish the pencil lasted longer. I’ve also tried the gel for lazy days when I just want to keep things in place. The spooly brush i just can’t live without. Thanks for the review.

Your welcome! It does take more time because it’s very pigmented so you have to apply more carefully. I have dark brown and it looks black but I think she has 12 shades to chooses from.
