Kat Von D Limited Edition Lolita Lip Duo

If only I had a dollar for every time I heard a rave review of Kat Von D’s “Lolita”.

It has been dubbed “the perfect nude” by so many.  And it is, by far, the most popular shade Kat Von D has ever come out with.

Don’t ask me why it took me so long to try it out for myself.  But…when I saw that Kat had come out with a limited edition duo I knew now was the time.

This duo retails for $19.50 which I think is a great price since a full size retails for $20 and each one is a little less than half of a full size.

I love that these are thin enough to fit in the smallest of clutches or even in my pant pocket if need be.

They have a doe foot applicator which makes getting a precise application super easy.

This formula is described as a long wearing, full coverage liquid lipstick with a smooth, matte finish.

It is a thinner formulation which I actually really love.  It is so comfortable to wear and feels really lightweight on the lips.  It glides on with ease and has a great pigmentation to it.

They are infused with Vitamin E and Sunflower Seed and is formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates.  Plus, they are 100% vegan and are never tested on animals!! YAY!!!

I love that these don’t have any added fragrance or taste which is great for those (like myself) that are sensitive.

Lolita is described as a deep chestnut rose and Lolita 2 is terra cotta nude.

To be honest, I wasn’t quite sure how Lolita would look on my medium skintone.

Lolita 2 is just perfect for warmer skintones (although this shouldn’t limit you from trying both).

When I applied Lolita 2 I knew it was my absolute favorite out of the two.  It really brightened my complexion and looked gorgeous!

But I was shocked by how much I loved Lolita as well.  I was worried it would be too brown, but it really isn’t!

(Lolita 2)

I found myself getting around 6 hours of wear with these, but my lips definitely started feeling dry around hour 3.  Around hour 8 a lot had worn off, but it left a beautiful tint on my lips.

I highly recommend gently exfoliating before application and making sure your lips are hydrated.

With Christmas coming up soon this would make a great gift or stocking stuffer for the beauty lover in your life.  It is affordable and a great way to try out Kat Von D’s liquid lipsticks.

I am actually hosting a giveaway and one lucky winner will win one of these babies!

I will leave a link to that giveaway post in case you missed it!
