It’s not often that a Sephora brand makeup product will catch my eye.
It’s not because they sell crappy products. I think when I walk into Sephora I go straight for my go-to brands ie: Tarte, Urban Decay, Too Faced etc.
I think it’s a shame Sephora’s products often times get overlooked because I have found some treasures in the past.
So the last time I went into Sephora, I decided to head right to the Sephora Collection section of the store and give those products my undivided attention!
One thing that I love about the Sephora Collection line is they are much more affordable than most other products sold at Sephora. And it’s not like the quality suffers for it at all.
Available in 20 different shades.
I purchased mine in #7 Custard
What it is:
A lightweight, gel-serum concealer—featuring brightening properties and a unique applicator—that’s perfect for the sensitive undereye area.
What it does:
Ideal for undereye use, this gel-serum concealer with 21 percent pigment is feather light and never settles into fine lines. It is infused with pineapple ceramide, which helps to improve skin texture and promote brightness. The formula is buildable in color and coverage without adding texture due to the high level of pigments. The unique domed applicator acts like a cotton swab to provide the perfect amount of product every time. Just dip, dot, and blend.
I love that Sephora came out with a huge variety of shades. I was really surprised to see how light the shades started and how deep the last few were.
I definitely agree that this is a lightweight concealer and it is amazing at brightening up my under eye area!!
I also noticed that this is very easy to build up in case you need more coverage (one layer gave me a solid medium coverage) or even if you decide to use it as a foundation (which I’ve done a few times!)
The applicator bothers me just slightly (although not enough to stop using the product).
It’s slightly larger in size because it is meant to make “dotting the product” onto your skin easier. I typically swipe my concealer on rather than dab so this makes me work a little harder to apply the product.
The formula is thinner than Nars’ Pure Radiant Concealer which I actually really like. Sure, the Sephora concealer is not going to cover quite as much because of this fact, but it is so much easier to work with.
Overall, I really like this product.
I still love my Bare Minerals concealer SO MUCH MORE, but this is a close second. Bare Minerals Concealer Review
