Would you believe it if I told you this was my very first YSL product?
I’ve always steered clear of this brand as the price point is crazy high!
I recently this product as a sample and was super excited to finally try something out!
$52 for 1 fl. oz
What it is:
An illuminating primer that blurs imperfections and boosts the radiance of foundation.
What it does:
Touche Elcat Blur Primer preps skin for foundation application, creating an improved, refined appearance: pores seem to be minimized, skin texture feels smoother, and skintone is more even. It’s enriched with four nourishing oils—corn oil, apricot kernel oil, passiflora oil, and rice bran oil—to leave skin feeling incredibly soft without a greasy residue. Packed with blur technology, this universal primer provides a subtle, golden shimmer for ultimate luminosity.
What else you need to know:
This product is noncomedogenic, and it’s suitable for all skintones, including sensitive ones.
First of all, this is a gorgeous product (both the actual primer and the packaging!)
YSL definitely knows how to make their products look high end!
The shimmer does a great job of creating luminosity to the skin without leaving behind a greasy or oily finish. It also doesn’t leave chunky gold glitter on your skin which is nice!
I used a VERY small amount of primer and would imagine using too much would feel very heavy and slippery.
This caused no allergic reactions on my sensitive skin.
It left my skin feeling very smooth and soft.
My foundation applied very nicely on top of the primer and didn’t move around much.
Did it do anything for my pores and fine lines? Unfortunately, no.
I’m tempted to purchase this simply for the beautiful gold formula! But, I just can’t justify the price as it didn’t prolong the wear of my foundation, or blur fine lines and pores.
It did a great job of brightening my skin, but a good illuminating product does that just fine (and is less expensive!)
Have you tried this product? What do you think?
Have a beautiful and wonderful day!
