Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Le Teint Radiance Awakening Foundation

Good morning everyone!

Today I will be reviewing another YSL product.

I have heard a lot about this foundation and couldn’t wait to try it out for myself!

Price:

$58

Available in 22 shades.

My sample is B50 Honey

Description:

What it is:
A bestselling foundation, now in an advanced formula, that reduces the look of fatigue and creates flawless coverage.

What it does:
Touche Éclat Le Teint Radiance Awakening Foundation is enriched with stimulating Ruscus Extract, an anti-fatigue formula that energizes skin by stimulating micro-circulation and targeting dullness to instantly improve the look your skin’s brightness and luminosity, while the Vitamin E protects against free radicals. Formulated with SPF 22 to provide sun protection, it leaves a weightless finish while offering eight hours of a refreshed, radiant look.

This foundation sounds like a miracle in a bottle!

Who wouldn’t want a product that can reduce the look of fatigue and gives flawless coverage??

Right off the bat, I was worried about the color of this foundation because it looked so dark.  But it was actually a pretty good match.

First thing I checked for was an added fragrance.

This does have a subtle floral scent, but dissipates quickly.

The formula is thinner but not runny or too watery.

I choose to apply this with my fingers to get the maximum amount of coverage I could since it’s thinner.

This is extremely easy to blend out and work with!

Right away I noticed it looks natural (like skin) yet has pretty good coverage (light-medium). It also gives an air brushed look to the skin.

I didn’t noticed it settling into my fine lines or pores and didn’t seem to overly accentuate dry patches.

It dries down to a powder finish so I only added powder to my t-zone.

The downfall?

It just didn’t hold up on me.  It says it will offer 8 hours of radiance (which it does),  but my makeup was getting really oily and started breaking down before that.

When I used a really good primer underneath this foundation, it immediately solved this problem.

Final Verdict:

I really love this foundation.  By the end of a normal day, my skin looks just as tired as I’m feeling.  All I want to do is remove all my makeup and hop into bed.
Somehow, this foundation made my skin look like I had a perfect night’s sleep and stayed looking that way ALL day.

It didn’t do much for oil control or have a long wear, but a really amazing primer fixed all that.

If it weren’t for the high price point, I would run out and buy this right now!  I think I’ll ultimately end up purchasing a full size when my sample runs out, but it’ll hurt my wallet a little!  😦

Have you tried this?  What did you think?

Wishing you all a beautiful and wonderful day!

xoxo Lizzie♥

  2. That carries a hefty price tag, isn’t it? Any ways, YSL products are always priced high and the other best branded item that you could try for is Estée Lauder double wear liquid foundation and I hope you might like it.
