Happy Monday beauties!
It’s time for another Ipsy unbagging! Let’s see what came in my bag this month!
Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription that is $10. It contains makeup, skin care, hair products and other beauty related items. You take a beauty quiz first and they pick out 5 products for you each month.
The theme this month is: “Destination Chic”
This month’s bag is my absolute favorite out of all the bags I’ve received. I think the print is adorable and I love the closure.
Etat Libre d’Orange “remarkable people” fragrance sample: Full Size= $12-149
Blend of bright citrus, sparkling champagne, jasmine, cardamom, grapefruit and sandalwood.
I’ve received a sample of this before (although a much smaller one) and it wasn’t for me. I gave the sample to a friend of mine and it became her favorite scent. So I know where this bigger sample is going to!
Hikari Cosmetics Shimmer Bronzer Full Size! = $17
Not only can you get a glowing complexion, this bronzer can be used as eye shadows or highlighter.
Even though this is called a bronzer, I think I may end up using it as a blush. I’m loving the peach color in the top left corner and think I will focus on blending more in that area for a blush tone. I could also blend in the lower right hand corner for a warm bronzer tone too.
The Organic Pharmacy Antioxidant Lip Balm Sample: Full Size = $21.50
Free of harsh chemicals and made with simple, effective ingredients. Infused with Shea Butter, Pomegranate, Rose Hip and Vitamin E to moisturize and protect lips.
Pacifica Natural Coconut Eye Shadow Trio Sample
These richly pigmented, velvety-smooth eye shadows complement each other for a subtle yet glitzy everyday eye look.
I have received quite a few Pacifica products through Ipsy and have really been less than impressed. I love the brand and what they stand for, but their products haven’t been the best quality and the packaging is quite flimsy.
I love the shades that included in this trio.
As you can see from the swatch, the lightest shade (“Crush”–beige shade) is very pigmented and easy to work with. The other two shades (“skinny dip”–copper shade and “lovely”–brown shade) are less pigmented and barely show up. I had to really work with the shade and build it up to get a good swatch.
Smashbox X-rated Mascara Sample: Full Size = $22
A mascara with audacious volume that lets lashes go from dramatic and defined, to exaggerated, layered volume.
