Milani Conceal and Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer

I love discovering new drugstore foundations!

For years I struggled with affordable foundations.  Either the formula didn’t work with my combination skin or the color selection was terrible.

But within the past few years I feel companies have been stepping up their game and actually putting some thought into their foundations and I have found quite a few that work for me.

I have always wished Milani would come out with a foundation.  I love their products and felt that was one of the things they were missing. wish has come true.  Not only did they come out with a foundation, but it looks AMAZING!

Available in 14 shades on

Combat under eye circles, redness and other skin imperfections with this full coverage, water-resistant foundation plus concealer in one. A no mess, no drip pump dispenses just the right amount of fluid needed to achieve a flawless look and works around the clock to keep skin looking naturally perfect!

My Skin:

I have combination skin (oily t-zone and dry/normal everywhere else) and also have sensitive skin.

I have a medium skin tone with warm undertones.

I love that Milani offers 14 different shades.  At my local drugstore there were only six or seven different shades.
It was really tough trying to figure out what shade would work for me.  I tried going off of the shade names but they didn’t seem to match the color.

I ended up purchasing three different colors because I was having such a hard time!

First of all, the packaging is great!  And it has a pump!!!

This foundation runs dark and oxidizes so be prepared to go a shade or two down from what you normally would.

I was convinced I would match either #5 of #6 but #4 ended up working out better.

This foundation is 100% full coverage!  It didn’t take much to get me a completely full coverage.  I used both a sponge and foundation brush and both worked just fine.  I preferred the sponge because the consistency is pretty thick and the sponge also absorbed excess product so I didn’t look too cakey.

It does have a subtle fragrance but it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin and it subsided very quickly.

I noticed the foundation did feel pretty tacky for about 10 minutes before it started to dry down.  But I never noticed it completely drying down to a matte finish.  This has a really beautiful satin finish that photographs beautifully.

Because this is such a thick formula I found it really accentuated my dry patches and fine lines.  I used a really good primer with it and that completely fixed the problem.

My oily t-zone also came out to play when wearing this foundation so I kept blotting sheets with me at all times!

Final Verdict:

This is an amazing foundation!  I absolutely love Clinique’s 2 in 1 foundation and this really reminded me of that.  It has great coverage and holds up pretty well throughout the day.  Plus, it’s more than 50% less expensive than Clinique’s foundation so that’s HUGE!

I just wish Milani would come out with more shades so that those with lighter skin and deeper skin could enjoy the foundation too!

Have you guys tried this?  What are your thoughts?

Have a beautiful and wonderful day!

  1. What a fabulous review!! I have the same kind of skin. If it’s good for your sensitive skin, it may be good for mine too! I think I’m somewhere around 4 or 5 for the color! I have to check this foundation out. Great post 🙂

Been swatching this foundation over and over and over again and infact, I did it again today.. But I couldnt find the right shade for me.. They seemed to be a bit darker for my skin tone.. I tried sand, medium beige, natural, light tan but still too dark. Huhu

    1. They need to create more shades. I know those with lighter and deeper skin tones aren’t able to find a match. Hopefully they will add more soon!
