Good morning beauties!!
I’m feeling a little sad over some news Birchbox recently released.
They announced on Tuesday that subscribers will no longer earn points for reviewing their samples. New subscribers will earn points only on their first box.
You will only be able to earn points by shopping on their site, inviting friends to subscribe or giving a gift subscription.
I was completely blind sided by this announcement. I really have been loving my Birchbox subscription and felt Birchbox’s point system made them stand out above everyone else.
I’m still trying to decide if I’m going to continue my subscription after next month’s box.
What are your thoughts for those of you who are subscribed? Are you planning to continue your subscription or are you kissing your Birchbox goodbye?
Anyway…It’s time to unbox my June Birchbox. You ready? Let’s go!
Birchbox is a $10 monthly subscription service that sends out 5 beauty samples.
You fill out a very simple beauty profile and they send you products based on that.
I’ve noticed Birchbox sends out primarily hair and skin products but have been including more makeup lately!!
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Sample:
Not only does it gently remove all traces of dirt, grime, and makeup, it also sweeps away dulling dead skin cells. The creamy cleanser contains moisturizing cocoa butter, and two of nature’s best astringents: eucalyptus essential oil and rosemary. These plant oils lift dirt off the skin’s surface without disrupting the natural barrier function. With the use of the brand’s 100 percent cotton muslin cloth (sold separately), skin is gently polished without irritation—perfect for even the most sensitive of complexions.
I’m really grateful Birchbox included the muslin cloth so I can really use this product the way it was intended. I have only tried one other Liz Earle product and wasn’t really impressed. I’m hoping this product works a little better for me!
Histoires de Parfums “This is Not a Blue Bottle” Perfume Sample:
This one-of-a-kind fragrance features a series of contrasting ingredients—bright citrus with earthy patchouli, sweet honey with mellow amber—for a deep and complex aroma that evolves as the day goes on.
You guys know I’m not big on perfume samples so this is going to another home! Can you guess how much a full size of this perfume costs? $105!!!!
Laura Geller New York Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in “Gilded Honey” Sample:
This luminous, warm highlighter has a formula that applies like a powder but feels like a cream, making it easily blendable and ideal for building to your perfect coverage. The pretty 3D design ensures you get an even sweep of product until the very last application.
This is gorgeous!! I am super excited for this!
Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream Sample:
The multitasking formula acts as both a leave-in conditioner and a styling cream, helping to calm and smooth coarse, thick, or fuller hair.
I don’t have coarse, thick or full hair so I’m hoping this won’t be too heavy and weight down my hair.
Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel in “Medium” Sample:
Volumizing microfibers and an exclusive water-resistant gel adheres to skin and hair, thickening brows to certified bold status. The formula is also enriched with conditioning vitamin b5 and marshmallow extract. Plus, the tapered brush features a precision tip to let you shape and blend effortlessly.
